Step aside coffee, make way energy drinks, its time for the new kid on the block!!
What do you look for in a chewing gum? I look for something that tastes great, keeps me alert, freshens my breath up a bit, and flavor that lasts.
The first time I bought a pack of Black Black gum from Japan I had no idea that it had caffeine in it. The only thing I knew about the gum was it had a funny slogan on the pack, "Hi-Technical Excellent taste and flavor". I thought to myself how technical could gum really be? So I bought a pack and popped a stick into my mouth.
The almost overwhelming mint flavor hits you right away, a real eye opening experience. I guess that's where they get you. A strong burst of flavor and then the caffeine kicks in to keep you going.
The story goes that caffeine is absorbed 3Xs faster by gum then drinking coffee. I would recommend this gum to anyone who enjoys a truly unique flavorful gum that does more then just cause tooth decay.
Not only has this gum become an Internet sensation it was also mentioned in "Wired Magazine".
A big hit with Internet gamers, anyone who drives a car, and people who don't like the taste of coffee or the stained teeth it can sometimes lead to.
Check out a TV commercial for Lottes Black Black Gum.
So all in all I concur with the slogan, a very "Hi-Technical" gum that keeps you going. And remember inside some packs of Black Black you can get rare sticks that say "Yes Chewing" on them.

It's Alive!!!
Welcome to the first post of the new blog that supports the web store http://www.itsjapcrap.com/
Now before I get rambling lets just get the first question that a lot of you may have out of the way. Why would a store even want the word "Crap" anywhere near its name? I'm sure a lot of people asked Microsoft the same thing. Micro meaning small, soft meaning well.....soft. Why would anyone want to name a company or business something that is the complete opposite of how they want to be perceived? To make a long story short we sell Japanese stuff. (Jap) (Crap).
Easy to remember and it rhymed. And don't worry the Co-Founder is Japanese so this can in no way be considered a racial slur. And besides I love Japanese people and their Crap.
Now onto the store, the stuff we sell, and what you can expect to see on the blog and our many other networking communities.
You might think that because Japan has McDonald's, 7-11, Denny's and a lot of other U.S started companies that they have the same menu's or products as their US counterparts. Nothing can be further from the truth. Trust me, you can not go into a Denny's in Japan and get a grand slam breakfast for $3.99. You can not go into 7-11 and get a Super Jumbo Cherry Slurpee and a day old donut for $1.75. Many believe this to be because the Japanese have different tastes then Americans. I was so happy when I first arrived in Japan and saw a 7-11 I was ready for a slice of hot pizza and a bag of combos, but when I walked in, my smile was turned upside down when I saw a boiling pot of what I can only describe as seaweed, eggs, and floating stuff that looked like some sort of tofu. There were some friendly faces, like Doritos, and Kit Kat's, but the weird thing was, that there were flavors I have never heard of, or seen before. And just like the old saying goes, "Do not judge a book by its cover".
"Do not judge a book by it's cover". Nothing could be truer when it comes to eating snacks in Japan. I will admit, they come up with some truly unique flavors for chips and other snacks. Most of the time you don't wanna put anything in your mouth that Say's "Asparagus biscuit" on the label. But I promise you "Once you pop, you cant stop" . When it comes's to food and snacks I have very American taste buds (if there is such a thing) . But to my surprise I find many of the Japanese snacks to be a great delight to eat........
Wow, look at all that BS I posted, just to let everyone know that we will be doing reviews on the blog. That's right!!! We are gonna get fat on Japanese snack food just so everyone can know how we feel about the new hot Wasabi Mayo Doritos's, and does the very popular caffeine gum Black Black really WAKE YOU UP!!!!!
Over the next few weeks we will be loading the store with ton's of "Unique to Japan" items. So whether your looking for Magazines, Beauty Products, Car accessories, Food, the new Smap album, T-Shirts, or anything else Japanese you have found the best place to "Get Your Crap"....
